He does! He brags about Timmy's success to every person within the neighborhood's vicinity. Mr. Turner loves how successful his son is! It really secures his reputation at the neighborhood HOA meetings they host at their house.

Timmy's worked very hard to gain more successes than failures. The more successful he is, the greater his family's social standing!! And the less he gets to overhear his dad ranting to the neighborhood about his failures.

This will be the first of two parts abt the backstory , cause i have other ask abt backstory too

After the end of the season, Dev still had some memories, and that was revealed in one of his encounters with the Hazel and Anti-Fairy Squad, where he accidentally slipped up about it.

Although Jorgen was not pleased about the fact that the child remembered it, Peri saw it as an opportunity to start over. Of course, he was not the only one who wanted to be kid`s godparent, and they started a small argument, since one was sucked at being a godparent and the other did not fit the role because… well, Fairy World wanted to stay intact.

However, Dev suggested co-godparenting. After all, Hazel's fairies were doing it just fine.

Peri had to do a lot of paperwork for this one chance, and he is now in charge of every power point presentation regarding the progress.

.... Not that his skills work on Dev. Dude still sucks ass in comparison with his counterpart-

I imagine after Timmy forgot, everyone around Peri was sympathetic, but ultimately told him this was how it had to be. Every godkid forgets, eventually, because that's what's in Da Rules. And as a fairy he must follow Da Rules.

It doesn't matter if he was your brother. It doesn't matter if you were 7 years old. It doesn't matter if he had known you since the day you were born. As a fairy, they need to follow Da Rules, and Da Rules say that Timmy must forget.

Sure, most rules aren't as intense, and sure, Peri will outright say that some rules should change, but subconsciously maybe this is one of the things that makes him feel like he has to follow them. Because if he doesn't... then that means that Da Rules don't matter so much. And if Da Rules don't matter, then why did his brother forget?

Okay hot take, but I wouldn't mind if adult Timmy doesn't appear in FOP A New Wish.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it'd be great to have some ambiguity to his fate.

Think of it like the fate of the Baudelaires in ASOUE, at the end of The End, the audience doesn't know their fate. However, it's up to the person's imagination to create their fate. Sometimes, we won't get all the answers, and it's up to the audience to fill in the gaps.

I honestly think it'd be for the better for the show to continue the stories of a couple of OG characters to further the plot, except for Timmy.

Mainly because I'd like the show to continue on its own merit, not just for the nostalgia of showing the OG characters we've seen.

For example, I like the direction that we've seen so far, allowing a few OG characters to return to have an actual impact on the plot, and it feels natural to their story.

Crocker is a janitor at the Institute still with a fairy obsession

Vicky is a birthday princess who terrorizes kids when the adults aren't looking

Again it's a hot take for a reason. I'm aware that I'm in the minority here.

yo his home life is miserable, which is the whole reason he was given fairy godparents. Sure he's kind of a little shit but he's also 10! Cut him some slack! You guys let Cosmo and Wanda in, you can't just ditch this doofus on the roadside! Plus think of how neglected he is by his actual parents. Again I am well aware he's no saint but thats the whole purpose for his character, we love him for it anyway. - I'm gonna be real with you: the Butch Hartman art style just scares me. Every time I see Timmy Turner doing that manic grin with all those teeth and murder in his eyes, I think he'll kill us all. I just don't want to look at him

MLP: New Generation (movie only) AU, changing around just a few roles:

Hazel is our main character / Sunny equivalent, of course. Her Hitch equivalent who is trying to be supportive but also realistic and keep her out of trouble would be Antony.

Other major earth pony roles change up a bit. Phyllis and Sprout are replaced by Dale and Dev, but not one to one. Dale starts off in Phyllis's role of creating and selling technology to "protect" against the other ponies, but then it is also him who stirs up fear and unrest in Sprout's place after the arrival of a unicorn in town. Dev is largely a passive observer until finally managing to stand up to his father to try to help Hazel's group in the final battle, similar to Phyllis's role in stopping Sprout.

Due to character limitations, there's only one pegasi and one unicorn, who are, of course, Winn and Jasmine, respectively. I think they fit pretty well into those roles personality wise.

But where are the fairies, you might ask? Well, until the end of the movie, there's no magic, so there's no fairies, either. At least, none that are obviously present. Once Hazel discovers the spark to bring magic back to their land, however, the three pink, green, and purple crystals representing the three pony types suddenly become a lot more lively than before. ;)

*Dev is back at Cosmo and Wanda's. He and Peri are sitting in silence with each other, back to back.*

...Dev.

*Peri sighed.* I don't hate you.

But Peri-

Sunshine, don't listen to your fears! I know that thing was telling you a lot of lies about what I think of you, but that's exactly what they are- lies. None of what it said is true.

*Dev paused.*

I don't hate you either.

*The two of them sat like that for a moment, before Peri spoke up again.*

...Did I ever tell you about the time I caused a bunch of massive natural disasters?

I don't remember, I was like, a few hours old!

Okay, so it started when Cosmo gave birth to me...

*Peri rambles on about essentially his origin story, Dev interrupting with questions that quickly derailed it multiple times, until they were arguing about whether or not burritos were sandwiches, and eventually on the floor laughing and telling funny stories.*

*Peri's wand glowed brightly once more.*

Okay, so I just read your fic because a friend of mine recommended it to me, and I thought it was really deep and well-written. However, I have a question: did Dale ever love Dev? Or did he even think it was possible to love Dev? If it's even possible for Dale to genuinely love someone.

Love is quiet a big word for someone who has yet to love themselves But he does care for money, money keeps him safe

In that way, Dev is great A great addition to help in what Dale does To help make sure his dream comes true

What dream you may ask? Oh worry not He forgot It's better to forget then dwell on the past

HE FORGOT. Yes. All his mind can hold is work. That is all there is.

He forgets the memories that he can not hold. Heh, maybe he's growing old?

Though, maybe that's for the better? It's not anything worth remembering Nothing. Nothing from there is worth remembering.

The sad part here is, a little bit of him does care Memories of his past, that push past the static He wants to give what he never had But, it's not like he ever learned how to be a good dad So, is it really a surprise that his teaching is somewhat bad?

And sometimes he finds that Dev should do better, With all theses opportunities that the kid holds in his hands Why isn't Dev strong and independent? And richer than the average man? It's hard for Dale, he can't understand.

Family can't keep you safe Only money can.

Just think a simple thought, of the experience he had And then you may wonder, maybe Dev doesn't really have it that bad? (Though, that doesn't mean he has it any good) (Dev has it far worse than any kid should)

Also, do let me share a peek of what's to come,

Then again, what reason does he have for change? Chance means something new will come And something new means uncertainty

It's hard to say, but as of right now there hasn't really been true love More just caring about something you have to keep alive Like caring for the pet of another

He does it, but sometimes it's hard And sometimes he sees himself and for a moment want to give what he never had

He needs to learn to love himself Before he can learn to love someone else

My first fop playthrough has my na'vi named Tsu'Tsu. She's an expert at falling off cliffs, flash banging herself , walking into exploding plants that launch her into the air, and her entire combat stragety is pelt them with grenades and her Ikran is purple and named Carol.

My second playthrough has Kai'Kai, he's a himbo and has a pink ikran named Floof. He's really good at walking on those platforms that launch you into the air but in this case it's right off a cliff... into the mouth of a thanator.
